anthropological point of view. In chronological terms, it deals with the period from the end
of the 19th century to the final decade of the 20th century. It focuses upon socio-political

Introduction to Human Geography: Geographies & Societies

Geography is the study of interactions between environment and society. As one of the social sciences, geography is influenced by other sciences, such as sociology, history, economy and political sciences. The result is the emergence of many geographies, that is, social geography, historical geography, political geography and so on, which result in many ways of studying complex geographic (spatio-temporal) phenomena.

The Evolution of Man

The course deals with the palaeobiology of contemporary man and the evolutionary processes that have led to his present form, both phenotypically and genetically. The course examines anatomical and genetic adaptations to the ecological environment of the time and the accompanying socio-political influences.
